ABOUT THE INSTALLATION
In 2011, RxART installed five large, framed prints from Jason Middlebrook’s Traveling Seeds series in Zuckerberg San Francisco General’s Psychiatric Emergency Unit. The prints depict seeds caught up in swirling winds and flying away from their original plants to new homes, where they will be deposited to grow. This simple act of movement suggests life and fresh hope, and as a result, the installation promotes calming notions of renewal throughout the unit.
The project was made possible by a generous grant from the Sidney E. Frank Foundation.
